This guide explains how to correctly ship goods from Sweden to Zalando’s Fulfillment Centers (FCs). By following these steps, you ensure that your parcels or pallets are received without delays or rejections.
đźšš Shipping Parcels
If you are sending small parcel shipments, these can only be shipped via
DHL Express, UPS, or FedEx.

Each carton must have a Zalando SSCC label (Serial Shipping Container Code)

Upload all tracking numbers in Zalando Vendor Portal (zDirect)

Missing or incorrect labels will cause delays during Zalando’s check-in process.
🏗️ Shipping Pallets (LTL/FTL Freight: DHL Freight, DSV)
Zalando has strict inbound requirements for palletized shipments.
If the carrier fails to comply, Zalando may refuse the truck upon arrival.
⚠️ Note: You must select the “Timeslot Booking” add-on when booking your pallet shipment in Sendify.
1. Pallet Preparation

Use EUR-standard pallets (120 Ă— 80 cm) in good condition and heat-treated (IPPC-marked)

Maximum height: 1.8 m (including pallet)

Maximum weight: 500 kg, depending on the carrier

Stack cartons neatly – no overhang

Wrap pallets securely, but keep all labels visible
⚠️ Warning: Pallets that are too tall, damaged, or missing labels may be rejected at Zalando’s dock.
2. Labeling Requirements

Each pallet must have 4 SSCC pallet labels (one on each side)

All labels are generated in Zalando Vendor Portal (zDirect) when you create your ASN (Advance Shipping Notice)
ℹ️ Info: The SSCC labels connect your shipment data to Zalando’s receiving system.
Without correct labels, your goods cannot be processed.
3. Booking a Delivery Timeslot

Pallet shipments require a confirmed delivery timeslot at Zalando’s dock

Your carrier (e.g. DHL, DSV) must book this via Zalando Inbound Portal (zDirect)

Trucks arriving without a booked timeslot will not be unloaded
⚠️ Warning: Trucks without a confirmed slot are automatically refused by Zalando.
4. Information the Carrier Needs for Booking
Ensure your carrier has the following information:

ASN number (from your Vendor Portal)

Delivery address (as listed in your ASN)

Number of pallets, total weight, and dimensions

Your company name and the carrier’s name (e.g. DHL, DSV)

⚠️ Warning: If SSCC labels are missing or incorrect, Zalando cannot check in your goods.

Even within the EU, the following documents must always accompany your shipment:

⚠️ Important: Express Shipments
The Guaranteed Service Refund (GSR) offered by carriers
(DHL, UPS, FedEx) for Express Saver, Express, and Express Plus services does not apply to Zalando deliveries.
Why GSR Does Not Apply

Pallet shipments require booked timeslots — deliveries outside the confirmed slot are not accepted

Parcel and express shipments may experience delays at Zalando’s inbound dock; such delays are not carrier-related, and refunds are therefore not granted
