DSV AIR Freight Standard

DSV Air Freight Standard moves palletised air freight from Sweden to six destinations across North America, Asia and Australia. It is a door-to-door service for shipments from 100 kg, with DSV handling both the export declaration in Sweden and customs clearance on arrival.

Air freight is charged on volumetric weight whenever the goods are light for their size, so a bulky 100 kg pallet can be charged as considerably more. The chargeable weight is shown with the price in Sendify before you book.

Transit time is counted door to door in working days. DSV flies twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, so where a shipment lands in that pattern affects the total.

Booking and pickup

Pickup is available from any address in Sweden.
Book the collection at least two working days ahead. The latest booking time for your address is shown in Sendify.
Have the goods palletised, labelled and ready before the driver arrives. Air freight is screened for security, and loose or poorly wrapped goods are the most common cause of a shipment missing its flight.
The commercial invoice and packing list need to be in place at booking, not at pickup.

What the price includes

The price you see in Sendify is the full door-to-door cost. It is built from several charges, which are itemised on the quote.

Included	Pickup in Sweden, handling, export declaration, security screening, air freight and fuel, terminal handling at the destination, delivery to the recipient, and import documentation and customs clearance.
Not included	Duties and import VAT, which the recipient pays directly to the authorities. Waiting time at pickup or delivery. Deliveries outside the covered areas.

Several of these are minimum charges rather than per-kilo rates, which is why the price does not fall much between a 100 kg and a 300 kg shipment. For smaller consignments, an express parcel product is usually cheaper.

Customs

DSV handles customs on this product. The export declaration is filed in Sweden and the goods are cleared by DSV on arrival, so the recipient does not need their own broker. Duties and import VAT are billed to the recipient by the local authority and are not part of the Sendify price.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the commercial invoice, the goods description and the commodity codes. A vague description is the most common reason a shipment is held at the destination.

Cancellation

Cancel in Sendify under Orders. If the goods have already been collected, contact Sendify support rather than DSV, and the cancellation will be raised with the carrier.
