DHL Freight is one of Europe's largest road freight networks, headquartered in Germany and with extensive coverage across the country. Road Freight Direct is DHL's dedicated direct-line product: your goods stay on the same vehicle from pickup to delivery — no terminal handling, no consolidation, no extra touch points.

DHL Road Freight Direct — Domestic

Road Freight Direct is DHL's dedicated direct-line product: your goods stay on the same vehicle from pickup to delivery — no terminal handling, no consolidation, no extra touch points.

DHL Road Freight Direct Domestic is DHL's product for B2B freight inside Germany. Everything from single pallets to full trailer loads. Every shipment is handled as a high-priority direct consignment.

Important: Bookings must be placed before 14:00 two working days before the desired pickup day. DHL only collects on weekdays unless otherwise agreed.

Guaranteed delivery?

No. DHL Road Freight Direct ships with estimated transit times only. If you need a guaranteed delivery date, get in touch with us via chat or phone and we'll quote you a dedicated direct transport instead.

Services and add-ons

Add-ons available

Tail lift loading and unloading

Tail lift is not available on this product. The shipper and receiver are responsible for providing the equipment needed to load and unload the goods at their respective sites (e.g. forklift, loading dock, ramp). Please make sure both ends are prepared before booking.

Recipient notification

If this add-on is purchased, the recipient is notified that the shipment is on its way, including the expected delivery time. Keep in mind this can add up to one day to the transit time.

Driver pre-call

If this add-on is purchased, the driver contacts the recipient 15–30 minutes before delivery.

Time slot at loading and unloading

Dangerous goods

Available only after consultation with Sendify — please contact us before booking. Class 1 (explosives) and Class 7 (radioactive) are not accepted.

Freight documents

The goods must be labelled and accompanied by an approved waybill. Waybills and labels can be created via our website. If freight documents are missing at pickup, an additional printing fee may apply.

Cancellation / no-show

Cancellations made later than 14:00 two working days before the booked collection date may result in cancellation charges from the carrier. If the goods are not ready at pickup, a no-show fee may apply.
