DSV System Pallet

DSV System pallet is a fixed format pallet product for shipments within Sweden. You book by pallet format, quarter, half or full pallet, and the price follows the number of pallets rather than a weight and volume calculation.

Priced per pallet

The price follows the pallet format and the number of pallets, so a heavy pallet costs the same as a light one within the limits.

Quarter pallet 60 × 40 cm, half pallet 80 × 60 cm and full pallet 120 × 80 cm, all up to 220 cm high.

Up to six quarter or half pallets, or three full pallets, and up to 999 kg per pallet.

The pallets travel door to door in DSV's Swedish groupage network. Each pallet is handled as one item, so the load has to stand on the pallet and stay on it through several terminals. Goods that fall outside the formats below are priced as another DSV product, so it pays to measure the load before booking.

What can you send?

Every pallet must fit one of the three formats below. The height is measured including the pallet.

How the pallets must be prepared

The goods are loaded and fixed on a quarter, half or full pallet.
The load is well anchored, wrapped or strapped, so the pallet can be handled as one item.
Nothing overhangs the edges of the pallet.
Every pallet carries an approved transport label from Sendify.
One pallet counts as one item.

Outside the limits, the price changes. If a pallet or a shipment falls outside the sizes, weights or volumes above, DSV charges a fee for exceeded product terms and a fee for an incorrect transport instruction, and can recalculate the price under another product. Those costs are passed on to you, so measure and weigh the pallets before you book.

What does it cost?

The price is set per pallet format and per pallet, and is shown in Sendify before you book. It already includes DSV's fuel surcharge. Surcharges that depend on the delivery address are added from the postcode: the Stockholm and Gothenburg metropolitan surcharges, the ore field surcharge for northern mining towns and the distribution surcharge for remote areas. If the recipient never collects the goods, DSV returns the shipment to you 15 calendar days after it reached the receiving terminal, at your cost.

How it works

1Book in Sendify

Choose DSV System pallet, enter the number of pallets per format and the weight per pallet. The latest booking time for your address is shown in Sendify.

2Pack and label

Load and secure the goods on the pallet, wrap or strap the load, and put an approved transport label on every pallet.

3Pickup

DSV collects the pallets at the agreed pickup time. Have them ready at the loading point, reachable with a pallet truck.

4Delivery

DSV delivers to the recipient's address on the timetable day for that postcode. Follow the shipment under Orders in Sendify.

Pallets and pallet exchange

A pallet sent with the goods counts as packaging and stays with the recipient.
DSV does not exchange pallets as part of the transport.
Pallet balancing within Sweden runs through DSV's pallet transfer system, PÖS, which is agreed separately.

Cancellation

Cancel the order under Orders in Sendify before DSV has collected the pallets. If the driver has already been out, or the goods are on the vehicle, contact Sendify support and it will be raised with DSV.

Additional services

Add-ons are selected when you book. The price for each one is shown in Sendify and is set per pallet.

Indoor delivery

DSV carries the goods to or just inside the door. One person handles the delivery and each item may weigh up to 30 kg.

Dangerous goods

Limited quantity and ADR classified goods, priced per pallet. The pallets must be marked as the classification requires.

Dangerous goods, sea

For lanes with a sea leg, IMDG classified goods are priced separately and cost more per pallet than the road classification.
