📦 Shipping Guide: Sending Goods from Sweden to Amazon (FBA)

This guide explains how to correctly ship goods from Sweden to Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs), so your pallets or parcels are accepted by Amazon without delays or refusals.

🔹 If You Ship PARCELS

  • For small parcel deliveries ship with UPS, FedEx, DHL Express

  • No dock appointment required

  • Each carton must have an Amazon FBA carton label (generated in Seller Central)

  • You can use:

    • Amazon Partnered Carrier (UPS) directly through Seller Central (recommended)

    • Non-partnered carriers (FedEx, DHL Express, etc.) — upload tracking numbers manually in Seller Central

đź’ˇ Tip: Double-check that every carton has a visible FBA carton label. Missing or damaged labels can cause delays at Amazon check-in.

🔹 If You Ship PALLETS (LTL/FTL Freight) (DHL Freight, DSV)

Amazon has strict inbound rules for palletized deliveries.
If the carrier does not follow them, Amazon may refuse the truck.

⚠️ Note: You must select the “Timeslot Booking” add-on when booking your pallet shipment in Sendify.

1. Pallet Preparation

  • Use EUR-standard pallets (120 Ă— 80 cm) in good condition, heat-treated (IPPC-marked)

  • Maximum height: 1.8 m including pallet

  • Maximum weight: 500 kg depending on carrier

  • Stack cartons neatly — no overhang

  • Wrap securely, but keep labels visible

⚠️ Warning: Palls that are too tall, damaged, or missing labels may be refused at Amazon’s dock.

2. Labeling Requirements

  • Pallet labels: 4 per pallet (one per side) — generated in Seller Central

  • Labels must stay visible and scannable (do not cover them with shrink wrap)

ℹ️ Info: FBA labels link your shipment data to Amazon’s receiving system. Without them, your goods cannot be checked in.

3. Booking a Delivery Slot

  • Pallet deliveries require a confirmed timeslot at Amazon’s dock

  • Your carrier (DHL, DSV, etc.) must book via Amazon’s Carrier Appointment Request Portal (CARP)

  • Trucks arriving without a booking will not be unloaded

⚠️ Warning: Trucks arriving without a confirmed timeslot are automatically refused by Amazon.

4. Information Your Carrier Needs for Booking

  • FBA Shipment ID (e.g. FBA15ABCD1234)

  • Delivery address (from your shipment plan in Seller Central)

  • Number of pallets, total weight, and dimensions

  • Shipper name (your company) and carrier name (DHL, DSV, etc.)

🏷️ What Is an FBA Label?

Amazon uses several label types to track products in their warehouses:

  1. FBA Product Label (FNSKU):

    • Placed on each product unit

    • Identifies the item as part of your seller account

    • Can be printed from Seller Central or applied by Amazon (for a fee)

  2. Box (Carton) Label:

    • Placed on every shipping carton

    • Generated in Seller Central when creating the shipment

    • Two per A4 sheet

  3. Pallet Label:

    • Required for pallet shipments

    • Four per pallet, one on each side

    • Includes your FBA Shipment ID

👉 All labels can be downloaded in Seller Central › Inventory › Manage FBA Shipments.

đź“„ Required Documents

Even within the EU, always provide:

  • Packing list (cartons per pallet)

  • Commercial invoice (your company + Amazon FC address)

  • Copy of FBA Shipment ID sheet or pallet label with the driver

ℹ️ Info: Ensure all documents match the shipment details in Seller Central.

âś… Quick Checklist Before Shipping

  • EUR-standard pallet, undamaged

  • Pallet securely wrapped, max height 1.8 m

  • All cartons labeled with FBA box labels

  • Each pallet labeled with 4 pallet labels

  • FBA Shipment ID shared with carrier

  • Carrier booked timeslot in CARP

  • Packing list + invoice sent with shipment

đź’ˇ Tip: Take a quick photo of your labeled pallets before dispatch. It helps if Amazon reports missing or damaged labels.

⚠️ Important: Express Shipments

The Guaranteed Service Refund (GSR) offered by carriers (UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc.) for Express Saver, Express, and Express Plus services is not valid for Amazon inbound deliveries.

Why GSR Doesn’t Apply

  • Freight shipments: Require booked timeslots — deliveries outside the confirmed slot are not accepted

  • Parcel/Express shipments: Amazon may delay check-in; these delays are not carrier-related, so refunds are not accepted

đź’ˇ Tip: Always inform your customers that express service guarantees do not apply to Amazon FBA shipments.
