Receiver Pays

where the receiver of the shipment is paying for the shipping costs

How does it work?

  • You'll find receiver pays under the receiver in new shipment form or on the import page.
    • 💡 A tip is to save the account number in the address book for a better experience

  • Receiver pays is available for the following products
    • SWE:
      • In Basic Plan: DHL Express, UPS, DHL Freight, DSV, FedEx
      • In Plus/Pro Plan: PostNord TPL, DB Schenker, Bring, ThermoDelivery, Local Carrier
    • DE:
      • In Basic/Plus/Pro Plan: DHL Express, UPS, DSV, FedEx, DHL Paket
  • You book, print documents and track just as before
  • You won't be charged for the shipment if your receiver accept the payment
    • The carrier will invoice your receiver directly

To be able to use the receiver pay feature you need to:

  1. Have agreed with your customer that they want to pay for the shipment
  2. Know your customers account number

💡 Remember that:

  • If your receiver doesn't accept the payment then the shipment will be invoiced to you instead e.g. DHL Freight will add on a fee of 230 SEK to cover the extra work needed to change the invoicing
  • Double check the account number, if you enter the wrong one the carrier will not be able to invoice the receiver and you will be charged instead. The same extra fee as above will be charged.
